But there’s a BIG problem with many of these programs…
They’re built to fail.
Try working your butt off 6 days a week, 2 hours at a time, and continue doing that for 12 weeks or more.
What do you think will happen?
Sure you’ll probably lose fat and get in decent shape but you’ll be KILLING your body in the process. These types of programs are not sustainable.
It’s the same reason that professional athletes can only compete until their mid-thirties – they simply cannot tolerate the amount of stress imposed upon their body.

This was famously illustrated more than 50 years by legendary endocrinologist, Hans Selye, who coined the term General Adaptation Syndrome to describe how we respond to stress.

The more you train and the more intensely you train (without adequate recovery), the sooner you’ll hit “Exhaustion”.
Call it over-training or hitting a plateau if you want. It’s all the same.
How Paul Destroyed His Body
A few years ago I was introduced to a man named Paul. He was a former collegiate basketball player and now, in his 30s, he was looking for something to challenge his inner athlete.
And so he jumped on the Crossfit bandwagon – doing their workouts 5 DAYS PER WEEK!
When he told me this, my jaw dropped.
Crossfit workouts are crazy intense workouts that have you performing very heavy full body lifts in conjunction with other high intensity exercises – for time.

The truth of the matter is that you will never be able to push yourself as much as someone else will. That's why people who hire a trainer have a much greater success rate than those who simply try to workout on their own.
Why is this “push” so important?
It’s everything…if you’re serious about going from fit to warrior fit.
Think about an Olympic sprinter for a moment and consider how much work they are required to put in order to shave a few milliseconds off their personal best time.
Now, take a sedentary, overweight, and completely out of shape person and have them do the same thing and they’ll drop 40 lbs and get shredded.

Essentially, what this means is that the fitter you get, the more you need push yourself (intelligently) to make smaller improvements. Dynamic Warrior Warm-Up
Every workout MUST begin with a proper warm-up that includes light aerobic activity followed by dynamic exercises that prime your body for the work ahead. This does not mean holding static stretches before you start working out.
Your Dynamic Warrior Warm-Up will take you through a comprehensive pre-workout warm-up (which lasts about 7 minutes)…the way it’s supposed to be done in order to prevent injuries and maximize your performance in the coming workout.

4 "Follow-Along" Warrior Workouts

Being strong is a vital component to successfully completing an adventure race and being more performant in all areas of your life.
To supplement your intense Warrior Workouts and to focus on building PURE strength, you’ll be given 3 Epic Strength Workouts. These workouts focus on the necessary elements to building brute strength (ie. more recovery time, heavier weights, lower reps, etc…)
Each week, you’ll do just ONE of these workouts (see the Training Plan) to build your strength. Whether you’re a man or woman, these strength workouts are essential to your progress. They are not designed to build bulky muscles. They are purely focused on getting you stronger.
Each of the Epic Strength Workouts comes with its own training manual complete with the workout tracker and pictures for each of the exercises.
2 Interval Cardio Workouts
Interval training is THE most effective way to train for improving your cardio endurance and burning more fat – in less time. It combines bouts of high and low intensity, forcing you to spend more time exercising closer to your maximum heart rate.
The results will speak for themselves. If you’ve used any of my other interval training workouts in the past you’ll know what I mean.

Q: What if I’m a beginner?
A: Then, this program is not for you. You’re probably better off starting with my Fitter U program.
Q: What equipment do I need for the workouts?
A: For the warrior workouts (you’re main workouts), you’ll only need a kettlebell or heavier dumbbell, a set of lighter dumbbells, a stability ball (or ab wheel), and a pull-up bar. A cardio is optional. An iPod or mp3 player is also needed to benefit from my audio-guided coaching for the workouts.
